COVID-19 Digital Orientation FAQs
During this time, your health and the health of our University of Arizona community is our utmost concern. Following CDC recommendations and in an abundance of caution for you, your family and others, we have made the decision to move our New York, Chicago, California and all on-campus New Student & Transfer Student Orientation sessions for May - July to digital format.
Information and updates concerning affected sessions will be sent to the students' CatMail.
At this time it is not certain if we will be able to offer any on-campus orientation session. We highly recommend that students sign up for an orientation session as soon as possible in order to meet with an academic advisor and register for classes.
If you were registered as a guest on your students orientation registration you will be receiving an email communication. The Family & Supporter orientation session will not happen at the same time as the student orientation session.
Once the student completes their orientation process, they will see the CatCard item via their Next Steps Center. Distribution of the CatCard ID will happen once the student is on campus. We will notifiy students via their UA CatMail account regarding the location and time of distribution.
Students are expected to be available from 8am - 5pm on the day of their orientation session date.
The Family Supporter orientation session will not be held on the same day the student will attend their orientation session. Registered family supporters will be sent an email communication with more information regarding their orientation program.
