Welcome to Arizona! We’re thrilled that you decided to become part of the Wildcat family. You play an integral role in creating a globally connected campus and we are honored to have you here.
As a new international student, you will attend a two-day orientation program: Global orientation will be on the first day followed by the University of Arizona orientation on the second day.
Day 1: Global Orientation
During the Global Orientation program, you’ll have the opportunity to meet with International Student Services (ISS). In addition, Global Orientation will walk you through immigration requirements, cultural adjustment and the international student experience at the University of Arizona.
Head to the Next Steps Center to sign up for your Global Orientation session and complete all of the tasks on your pre-orientation checklist.
Day 2: University of Arizona Orientation
Once you’ve completed Global Orientation, you’ll attend the University of Arizona orientation experience. You’ll join virtual sessions, live question and answer chats and drop-in sessions that cover everything from student organizations and meal plans to academic advising. You will also meet with representatives from your specific academic program, learn more about your Academic Unit and major, and register for classes.
Important Resources
It’s our goal to make sure you have the support and resources you need for a successful transition to becoming a Wildcat. These resources will help you get started and succeed as an international student at the University of Arizona.
Next Steps Center
The Next Steps Center will lead you through the essential steps — from admission to your first day of class. International Students need to follow specific instructions provided via the Next Steps Center to request an I-20 or DS-2019.
International Student Services
International Student Services is dedicated to your educational, personal, and professional success — from application through graduation and beyond. We are your first stop for immigration advising, cultural adjustment support, and opportunities for connection.
