Incoming students, family members and supporters should not make travel arrangements until AFTER receiving confirmation of their New Student Orientation or Transfer Student Orientation reservation via email. When making travel/flight arrangements, please note the check-in window for your session and know that Orientation has scheduled activities from approximately 8:00am until 5:00pm.
Orientation participants can purchase a special parking pass at the Tyndall Ave. Garage which allows in-and-out access to parking in the Tyndall, Main Gate, and Sixth Street Garages. These passes are good for a one-day period and cost $8.00. Participants are also able to purchase a two-day, one-night pass for $15.00. If you purchase either of these passes, please make sure to display it on the dashboard of your vehicle to verify parking privileges. Please note that participants are responsible for parking expenses as they are not covered by program fees.
To familiarize yourself available our parking locations, you can view this Parking and Transportation Services (PTS) map. To view real-time garage availability, you can visit their website. If you have any issues when using our garages, PTS can provide general assistance as well as battery jumps and lock-outs. After hours, PTS can be reached at (520) 621-1108.
The closest airport to the University of Arizona is Tucson International Airport (TUS); many major airlines fly into TUS. For more information about travel to and from Tucson International, please visit their website.
Many families choose to fly into one of the two airports in the Phoenix metro area when attending Orientation at the University of Arizona. The two airports options in Phoenix are Phoenix Sky Harbor and Phoenix-Mesa Gateway. Please keep in mind that the travel time, by rental vehicle, between these airports and the University of Arizona will be about two hours. If traveling through Phoenix we recommend plenty of extra time in addition to that two hour travel window in case of any delays.

Other Travel Options:
Amtrak rail services and Greyhound bus services both serve Tucson. If arriving to Tucson via Amtrak or Greyhound you may take a taxi or the Sun Tran bus or light rail to the campus. The University of Arizona is located about two miles from both the Amtrak and Greyhound stations.
