FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Are final high school transcripts / immunizations required to attend a Course Registration appointment?

No. Students just need to submit those items as soon as they're available!

I have an international student with questions about their I-20, student visa, etc

Please have the student reach out to International Student Services (ISS) at intl-new@arizona.edu.

Is placement required to attend a Course Registration appointment?

We are telling students to complete the "Placement" pages in Next Steps Center before their Course Registration appointment. Next Steps Center will guide them through the entire placement process and let them know what placements they may - or may not - need to take.

IMPORTANT: Even if a student has dual enrollment / transfer credit or past test scores, they should still complete the placement pages in Next Steps Center.

How do students cancel their admission?

Students can cancel by going to Next Steps Center and scrolling down to the bottom of the page. When they click the Need Help? link, and they'd like to cancel their admission, the form will direct them to Future Wildcat to cancel.

Is there an in-person / on-campus orientation?

Completing Arizona Arrival and a Course Registration appointment is is entirely virtual. However, after a student completes their virtual orientation, they can join us for Destination Arizona -- an on-campus celebration that takes place right before classes begin!

When can a student sign up for a Course Registration appointment?

Once the student has completed Arizona Arrival, an email is triggered that will guide them to CatCloud/Trellis to sign up for a Course Registration appointment. (If they're an Eller student, they'll be guided to eSMS).

Are there any orientation-related fees?

At this time, there are no longer guest fees or rescheduling fees.

Where can students find their Course Registration appointment details?

If they're NOT in the Eller College of Management: They'll be able to view and access their meeting in CatCloud Calendar.

If they ARE in the Eller College of Management: They'll be able to view and access their meeting in eSMS.

Student gets a Zoom message that says, "Waiting for host to start meeting"

Have them double-check the meeting’s start time to make sure they’re following Arizona time. If they are, and the meeting still hasn’t started after 10 minutes, please direct students to the Orientation Hub.

Student has Immunization hold

Please tag Dolores Machado (doloresm) through the Teams channel listed above. This will be the fastest way Dolores can remove it.

Is "Arizona Arrival" required to attend a Course Registration appointment?

YES. Arizona Arrival is an interactive online portal that will guide students through what they need to know as an incoming Wildcat.

Once they've completed Arizona Arrival, an email will trigger that directs the students to register for an appointment. (These emails will start going out May 1)

How can I get a staff account for Arizona Arrival?

Please contact cassie@arizona.edu to have an account created!
