Signature Programs
The college journey is all about choosing your adventure and Destination Arizona is the first step!
You will have two Signature Sessions added to your schedule: one to get you re-acquainted with your academic unit and the other to get you excited about Wildcat Life through spirit and traditions. We highly recommend you attend both sessions.
In addition to your Signature Sessions we will have various Supporting Programs to further your connections with the Wildcat Community. Make the most out of your Destination Arizona experience and build an entire weekend of learning, fun, and connection.
Details are subject to change. Mandatory program session times along with the opportunity to build your personalized schedule will be released the week of July 1 via your Destination Arizona Student Portal. Keep an eye on your CatMail for more information.
FRIDAY, AUGUST 23
Next Stop: Academic Unit Welcome
SIGNATURE SESSION | Time Commitment: 1.5 Hours
Next Stop is the first step to your academic journey at Arizona! Connect with your Academic Unit’s faculty, staff, current students and new peers through academic expectation presentations and community building activities.
Small Groups
Time Commitment: 1 Hour and 15 Minutes
Led by Destination Arizona Leaders. Small Groups provide incoming students an opportunity to connect with a group of ~35 other new students and bond over their new experiences. Destination Arizona Leaders will guide new students in making connections and share their Wildcat expertise.
Small groups will meet on both days of Destination Arizona.
Resource Fair
11:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Meet various campus departments at the same time and learn a little more about how their office is built to support you as a student at Arizona.

Campus Mixers
11:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Meet and mingle with resources centers and offices like our Cultural Centers and learn about how these centers support students who identify within their identities.
WILDCAT TODAY, WILDCAT FOREVER: NEW STUDENT Convocation
SIGNATURE SESSION | 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Join us for the official closing to Destination Arizona and your official welcome to The University of Arizona. Convocation will mix the themes and lessons of Destination Arizona with Arizona pride to get new students excited about everything that their new journey at Arizona has in store for them! Hear from University Leadership, Academic Representatives, current students and more!
Evening Oasis
6:00 PM - 10:00 PM
The grand finale to Destination Arizona! Join us for food, fun and music! To participate in all the fun that Evening Oasis has to offer be sure to fill out the Liability Waiver found in your Destination Arizona portal.
IMPORTANT Evening Oasis is only open to new students registered for Destination Arizona – non-incoming students or guests will not be allowed entry.
